We are finally starting a new chapter in our lives. Although we still aren’t pregnant, we are moving in the right direction to hopefully become pregnant in the near future. Stanley has started his new job and he loves it so far. It’s literally right across the street from our house, he has the option to work from home, the compensation is much better than his last job, and of course, the insurance is great. There are a couple of things I found out since my last post. One of the most importantĀ things is that although we have infertility coverage, we have a lifetime maximum of $12,000. In the world of infertility treatments, that won’t get us very far BUT it’s something and we’re so grateful for it. For those of you who aren’t familiar with what that means, it basically says that insurance will only cover $12,000 worth of infertility treatments for the lifetime of the plan. Most IVF cycles cost about that much, if not more and that’s not including medication.
I have an appointment towards the end of the month with the new RE. It’s just a consultation appointment but I am so excited about it. I’m just ready to move on to the next phase in this process. It’s been such a long road and although we seemed to make some progress, we still haven’t gotten the results we want. Sometimes I just want to walk up to people I see with multiple children and tell them how blessed they are. Some people seem to realize it while others seem to take it for granted. I’m sure I took it for granted when I got pregnant almost 13 years ago. We all have our struggles and our journeys…this is just mine. I know that God will continue to lead me.
Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path
