No matter how hard we try not to be, Stanley and I are so caught up in getting pregnant. I think it consumes our thoughts more often than we would like for it to. Now that he’s had the procedure done, we spend our time wondering “if this month will be OUR month”. Although we know that the results may not be seen for months, we still have high hopes. He’s supposed to get another semen analysis 3 months after the procedure but by that time, I will officially be “laid off” from my current job and we won’t have the same insurance. Actually, since he just started a new job, we won’t have any insurance for a little while because we have to wait 90 days before we can be insured by his new job. Despite all of this, we still have so much to be grateful for.
We’ll revisit the semen analysis when that time comes but for now, we’ll just wait and see. Hopefully, we’ll become pregnant and won’t need that analysis! 🙂 Anyway, so my baby’s (she’s really not a baby) birthday is in a matter of days and it really has me thinking. We have this WONDERFUL little girl here with us now and we need to make sure we take the time out each day to be thankful for her. There are some people who are experiencing infertility and have never had the chance to become pregnant. I have had that opportunity and I am forever grateful for it, despite what the circumstances were during that time.
We are grateful that we have her and although we would love to add to our family, we must intentionally show our gratitude on a daily basis. This doesn’t mean that we’ve given up hope or that we will ever give up hope, it just means that we know that we must look at our circumstances from different perspectives in order to truly be grateful. She has been one of the best gifts God has given to us and we just wanted to let the world know.
…give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
